Our Story

Food should be honest.

We started Suvarana Sathva because we believed our food should do better.

Like many families, we found ourselves asking harder questions about what reached our table — adulteration, unclear sourcing, unnecessary additives, and the quiet loss of traditional food practices. We wanted food that felt simple, thoughtfully sourced, honestly made, and worthy of the family table.

That longing — for transparency, care, and ingredients we could stand behind — is why Suvarana Sathva exists.

The beginning

Why we started

We saw a growing gap between the food people wanted and the food they could easily trust.

What goes into it?

Ingredients should be understandable — names you recognise, nothing hidden behind vague labels.

Where does it come from?

Sourcing should be transparent — we should know the farms, regions, and people behind what we eat.

How is it made?

Food should be thoughtfully processed and responsibly made — tradition and care over shortcuts.

Why should honest, wholesome food be so difficult to find?

That question became the beginning of Suvarana Sathva.

So we decided to create the kind of food we wanted for our own families.

Our goal is simple: carefully chosen ingredients, transparent sourcing, traditional methods where they make sense, and nothing unnecessary added simply for appearance or convenience.

Better Ingredients

Carefully chosen raw materials — nothing selected only because it looks good on a label.

Honest Processes

Traditional methods where they make sense, with patience instead of unnecessary industrial shortcuts.

Thoughtful Sourcing

Relationships with farmers and suppliers we can trace — single-origin where it matters.

Family-Worthy Standards

Every batch held to the same bar we set for our own kitchen tables.

How we deliver

From mission to every batch

The craft and promises behind every jar — proof that our standards are not just words on a page.

The Craft

Slow-cooked in iron kadhais

We clarify sugarcane juice with plant-based methods — never sulfur, never synthetic colour. The juice is slow-cooked in traditional iron kadhais over open firewood until it deepens into the dark, rustic gul our grandparents recognised.

No bleaching agents. No rush. Just patience, skill, and respect for the ingredient.

The Promise

Standards we keep at home

Every product we ship carries the same standard we set for our own families — carefully made, transparently sourced, and honestly labelled. If it does not meet that bar, it does not leave Pune.
